I kinda agree the skin is kinda dark I love dark but the font can be hard on the eyes at times. I don't think it should be changed I like it the way it is.

But as far as posting a suggestion I have a few pointers that may help out.

1. Post a nice and respectful post about what you are suggesting.
2. If you are making a suggestion make sure you give some sort of suggestion not just "Hey I don't like this, change this."
3. To those replying please be respectful of the suggestion don't just dismiss it because the person you dismiss can be someone who helps get your suggestion through.
4. Points and activity in the forums could be used to see whether to hear out your idea or not, make sure you are a part of this forum for some time before making a suggestion because if you have a high activity rating then your suggestion would be more payed attention to.

Just a couple pointers, someone new couldn't come and change everything so be sure you are respectful even if your new to properly suggest something.

I'm not sure if this can be done in v-bullitien but i know it can in phpbb so it probably can here to. In phpbb there is a default skin for the board but you can make many other skins available to to users via the ucp. Since it seems many people like the colors and many people do not maybe adding a few new skins for the users to be able to choose from wouldn't be a bad idea.

Also i agree with The Crymson Legend if you want to get a serious response to any suggestion actually have a thought out argument for you cause otherwise the administration will just skip over it and look at other things to save himself some time.

OK, seems to be there is quite a demand for change of the skin, though i still like it a lot :) The basic problem why i wasnt changing the theme was that whatever i change, i will have to make the changes in all the skins instead of just one, increasing my work load further.

Either ways, search out the internet, mostily vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org and let me know some of the skins that you guys think you like and i will see how i can offer it for you. The only condition being, let it have the same black/dark flavour (background) so that it doesnt look like the smokyhosts.com main website is not a part of the forums or vice-versa.

I think the forum was fine when I first signed up. I don't like this one much which is why I haven't posted a lot. Maybe you should offer a selection of skins for the user to choose from instead of having one single global one...
