Yep.. the windows xp become to be so slow on a old PII pc.. for that PC the best is win98 or millenium edition (millenium edition as so many bugs and is very unstablegodam64 wrote:right now i'm using windws xp but using classic display view like windws 98 and windows millenium edition. but it's so slow since i'm using pentium II old pc.
I use a combination of Windows XP and Windows 98, although 98 less frequently.
I would like to learn linux but each time I try I end up getting some problem with the setup - and I cant learn the basics until I have a working installation to practice on, but I can't learn the advanced stuff to fix the problem until I've learned the basics. To me seems to be a vicious circle.

Have tried Ubuntu Live but never actually tried to install it. Wouldn't install it on my main computer as I only have one partition on my hard drive and I don't want to risk losing any data by shrinking the partition. Also I don't know enough about Linux to install/configure my Wireless card, so I couldn't really use it on my main computer. In Windows (XP) Wireless installation is so easy.
I try linux on virtual machines, which probably explains a lot of the problems that I encounter.
