I'll try to explain why you get 500 error. I have installed web server (abyss) on my computer and have php interpreter. If i try to connect to localhost when my computers cpu usage is very high, i get this "error 500. Internal server error". So maybe this is because server's cpu usage is very high??

maybe but i just seem to get it when veiwing really big php scripts, llike my portal administartion, my phpmychat chat room, and my forums administartion

yes that must be it eveytime i look at server status (http://www.smokyhosts.com:2082/frontend/x/status.html) it shows the cpu isd in the red zone
