can someone teach me how to make virtual pet site scripts like http://www.neopets.com or http://www.teripets.com

i dont think that this is available for one programmer (especialy if You are beginner). Its just my opinnion, but u, alone, and pets site, mhmmmm i think it's impossible

If you are trying to match the sucess of something like neopets or anywhere near it i dont think if all the people from smokyhosts worked together that would even make up 1% of the popularity.

You should start coding basically and improve on the script as time goes by.

Neopets needed 7 years to build their popularity. Don't you think you become famous in 1 day, 1 week or 1 year.
You need several years.

They have nothing special or something that can not be reproduced by someone else. You just need some work.

Yup coding is just one part of the deal. Marketing your site is another. Getting Financial support for your site is another. It is really tedious task to build up to be like the big guys. Like I said start coding and making the site availale for your friend to be able to test it out in beta. Get feedbacks: this is one of teh most important things. Improve on your script basing on teh feedbacks you get. Then gradually open the site when your beta tester are now happy with the script you created. Join coding forums, people there are eager to help you and maybe you could help them with their own projects.

It doesnt look too advanced for me, but you at least need to know HTML, and if it has some kinda "pet list" PHP and MySQL are probably used there too.

lol dam i worked on 5 pet sites before i made my own rpg games i own to and they ant easy to run im the only coder on one and its not easy on most rpgs they have 3 4 coders petsites have 6+ min i would help u but im busy with rpgs hit get out of them and stay out it takes to much to keep users happay on a petsite they want updates every day and every min if they could trust me its not worth it would be in the long run but neopets is long and hard codeing u will never be as good as them i can tell u that much
