I Wouldn't mind buying this car. Under the bonnet, the 270kW, 6.0-litre V8 (the V6 is the standard fitment, but Holden expects many to upgrade to the V8 given the nature of the Calais V) does its job in propelling this sizeable machine up to speed briskly.

Competitors
Ford Fairmont Ghia V8 $57,860
A quality car about to be uprated, but the V8 Calais V is its toughest competition yet.
Chrysler 300C Hemi $59,990
Great attitude and presence, and it drives OK too.
I cant find a top speed for it though.
