Domain

I just got a domain name how do i make it so that my sight comes up when that name is typed in i enterd it into parked domain and it said it worked but i get a server not found message when i type in teh domain
Edit: The above problem no longer exists but a new problem does. when i type in my .info domain the username.thesmokylounge.com/blah/blah.php shows in the url bar is there a way to make it so it stays as .info ? Im using mamno plus so username.thesmokylounge.com gets redirected to username.thesmokylounge.com/root/ if i were to move evyerhting in the root folder into the html-public main folder and took away the redirect do you think this would solve the problem.?
