I know there is already a post about what e-mail service, but I'm wondering what's a good e-mail program I could use that can handle a lot of e-mails. I like to save my e-mails, and Thunderbird goes very slow when I have a lot.

I tried searching on Tucows, but I didn't find anything that wasn't pay. I would like something free.
Thanks!

I use Thunderbird and I find that it handles large numbers of emails very well. Better than other programs (Outlook, Outlook Express) that I have seen.

You should try reintalling the program because my thunderbird works like a dream (also the pc specs wouldnt be bad to know

).

I also did reinstall into a different location, and it went fast, but it slowed back up again after I got a bunch of e-mails. Maybe its because I'm using too many e-mail accounts? I use three different ones and have them all set up.
When I try to open a message or download e-mails, it makes my computer slow to a crawl. I even tried closing a few programs and that didn't seem to speed it up at all.
I think I will try using Seamonkey's e-mail program, if I can get it working.

well it seemes that your comp can handel it but there are 2 other possiblties.
1) Crappy internet
2) virus/spyware.
Recomendations:
For 1: get better internet such as broadband
For 2: scan with norton or some other anti virus/snti spyware program

I think outlook is used almos the same way as the thunderbird and the other programs because their layout and design difers only slightly between the programs so if you know how to use outlook alternative programs you should easyly be able to use outlook altough i recomend thunderbird!!!
