If your computer is creaping, it may be because of XP lol.

My computer loads fast for about a month, then is slow, I usually have to reformat every month, so I do'nt even activate anymore.

Lol, yeah it's almost impossible to get Maximum Performance out of your computer if your running XP. I am going to be Installing the BETA of Vista as soon as my brother let's me use his DVD Burner.

If you want to download it just do a search for Windows Vista BETA and it will guide you. KEEP IN MIND: This is a 15GB Install, which takes up a crap load of space and if you don't have the space don't bother. PLEASE BE ADVIZED: I would recommend atleast 512Mb Ram, 2.6Ghz+ Intel or 1.6Ghz 2800+ AMD. If you don't even have XP don't bother, and if you have XP and XP is sluggish when you first install it, dont bother. Vista is for higher end Pc's which have enough processing and Ram to run it, but it shouldn't take up all your system resources. It is suppose to run faster than XP but if your comp can't handle XP your better off without Vista.

Hey CrysmonLegends dont' forget graphics card lol.

You need at least a 64Mb graphics card to run the vista themes. 128Mb recommended. Also 1.6Ghz (2800+) Athlon would run better than intel 2.6Ghz - especially compared with celeron, but even Pentium 4 would struggle to keep up with Athlon.

As for ram, they prefer you to have 1Gb over 512Mb. Vista is way too tough on the specs, although if you are prepared to compromise on eye candy then it runs better.

I personally have a problem as to installing Vista. I don't want it to replace XP on my main computer, but I don't have another ocmputer that could run Vista reasonably. I suppose I could install it on my Virtual Machine but it doesn't have hardware accelerated graphics, so new themes/cool look would be out the Window(s) - almost literally!

**EDIT** This is going way off topic - what has this got to do with email programs? I suppose Microsoft are planning to include some kind of email client in Vista, but nobody seems to know what it is, and I think that Outlook Express is being ditched. If I remember correctly, I think there might be something called Windows Mail (NOT: Windows Live Mail), but we'll have to wait for a tester with a decent machine to tell us that :)

Well have no fear here are my specs :).
AMD Sempron 1.6Ghz 2800+ with 1600Mhz FSB
512 MBs RAM with Heat Spreaders
ABIT Motherboard supporting fast data transfer.
256Mb Geforce 5500 FX OC by BFG.
80Gig Harddrive
680 Watt Power Supply ( only $50 :D )
5 Internal Fans, 1 Graphics Card Fan, 1 Processor Fan, 2 PSU Fans.

I think I got a good enough pc to run with, but getting to my brother's computer to burn the DVD is what is hard. I am reformatting my harddrive which I will fresh install Vista, which should keep me running smoothly.

No clue how we got off topic, must of been my fault. I apologize, we do need to Open a Vista topic though :D. No email programs do I use, sorry for sotra spamming :P. * Deletes everyone's posts by accident causing the forums to malfunction and go haywire.*

I believe you are mistaken 15 gb install is bull because there is no way there will be a program witch requires 15 gb of space. Nor is this a 15 gb download it is only 2.5 gb. Im not sure where you got this info but it is rong. My laptop currently runs vista beta and my Hd on there is only 10 gigs so there is no way it can be 15.

Also Please reply with a link to this info because I think you are just pulling our legs.
