.NET is a bit more complicated but is less code to write and easier to manage
I use VB.net, I find vb easy to use, unlike php and the other programming languages (guess I'm to lazy to learn them right).

I use the entire .NET suite from Microsoft when I'm hosting on a Windows server (Linux can't do server-side scripts with MS's .NET suite) and I use PHP with MySQL when I'm using Linux hosting.

but PHP is exciting too,
