Is XHTML better than PHP?

Any problem with HTML can be discussed here.

I think you should all learn what is PHP.
Comparing PHP and XHTML is like comparing stones and walls :
  • You can use stones to make walls.
You can use stones to make something else.
And you can use something else to make walls.
  • You can use PHP to make XHTML (the most current use).
You can use PHP to make something else (like images, text, various XML, PDF...)
You can use something else to make XHTML (static XHTML, or other server-sides scripts like JSP or ASP)
PHP is a server-side language.
XHTML is a description language, used on the client-side.
You can't compare them.

HTMl is based on SGML, a old and heavy markup language, replaced nowdays by XML.
XHTML is just the translation of HTML from SGML to XML.

I was going to say, "you can't compare apples with oranges", but what you said is much better, Max :D!

darkeyes: You can use CSS in HTML as well.
The speed the site loads depends on the file size and scripts used (Javascript); using XHTML won't decrease its load time too much.

PHP Is more easy to implemnt and more flixeble..

If you are intending to learn one, take my advice: PHP is the one..
