I think you can install anything as long as you don't break the rules .
At all its better to wait for SHadmin to tell you the right answer

You can go ahead and install them, aslong as they're legal applications, you can just download the application and install it. It's how I do all of my installs. and PHP-Nuke is in Fantistico in the cPanel.
