Greetings!

I won't talk much as this an important day for all guys interested in Tech

Anyway , we know that next version of Windows is called LongHorn

Ok, no more longhorn as the forthcoming windows from Microsoft will be called

Windows Vista

Here's what is written in one of tech site :

Microsoft has chosen an official name for Longhorn with just that in mind. Enter: Windows Vista.

Word of the new name leaked out late Thursday after Microsoft tipped off journalists and enthusiast sites of an impending Longhorn-related announcement due Friday morning. "Windows Vista" was first mentioned at a Microsoft sales conference in Atlanta, according to reports.

Microsoft has also registered domains to go along with the newly christened Windows, including windowsvista.com. The domains were registered in late March, indicating the company made the decision even before WinHEC gave developers their first taste of Longhorn in over a year.

The word 'vista' defined means "pleasing view." According to a source, the name had been first floated about six months ago, although not much more had been said in the following months.

Longhorn, or Windows Vista, Beta 1 will be available by August 3, Microsoft said Friday. Beta 2 is expected in early 2006, with the final next generation Windows release expected by the end of next year.

Actually, the beta 1 version was released only for 10 thousand testers but it's available to everyone through p2p like bit torrent and eMule network. Just search for it.
Oh, and Internet Explorer 7 beta is included too.

It's just a beta 1 version. It can't be used as a main OS yet.

already got it, thro eDonkey, not that good tho, it need lots of virtual space, i have 512 rams, with a 2.4ghz computer, and it's still kind of slow, and i don't know if it's just me, but you'll have to intoduce every piece of hardwar, one at time, it's doesn't do it automaticly, like on Windows Xp

P.S: Linux will always be better then any other OS out there, including microsoft's
