I think hes trying to say that his FTP client is giving a connection timed out error, but I can't be sure

Wow, that is strange, coz i am perfectly able to connect to ftp on the server via ftp. (Others reading this thread please check and confirm)

i assume he is talking about his own forum.
@caiba, it might be your firewall problem, try check your firewall if it is blocking you from accessing to the host.
