Buying Reseller Hosting

Post by Flipper3 »

I am really starting to consider buying some reseller hosting and I have a couple questions:

Are the nameservers for the reseller hosting the same?

And is there anywhere on this forum that I would be able to advertise or just make a topic that I am selling some of my hosting since I know that I will not use up all of my 100GB so I will be wanting to sell some of that.

Glad that you are upgrading to a reseller hosting package.

Yes, the nameservers are the same even for the reseller hosting package.

Not at the moment, but very soon there will be a section where the resellers would be able to advertise their deals on the forum.

Hopefully this should be available by end of March or begining of April 2008 along with a few other changes which will come in.

WoW SHAdmin letting people who buy hosting also sell hosting on the same website, what an ingenious method of getting what you need done lol. Note to everyone who plans on selling some of their reseller's package here on smokyhosts don't compete! If you all compete you will drive each other miserable and end up failing all together as Smokyhosts will sell more resellers packages than you all will normal hosting packages. Try to find a medium price amongst you all and make it fair to any of your customers. Try to get too **** then that's when the price wars will start. Once again it's a note to those who plan on doing this, please listen as the last thing you want is a huge battle for best deals and driving everyone else insane!

Another idea is some people could offer certain packages and other people can offer different ones! But please let's not turn this into a blood fest, so I hope people work together to not only bring the same great service as Smokyhosts has brought us all but to also share the kindness that SHAdmin has given to all of us!

Once this is offered I will make a How-To on how everyone will be able to merge together in order to accomplish this, so be prepared!
Reached 5000 Credits! The highest of any member on Smokyhosts! New milestone for Me!

Well, there will very less chances of competition against SmokyHosts services themselves because all the resller hosting package owners can sell only shared hosting packages, and SmokyHosts offers the shared hosting packages absolutely free of cost :)

Only thing is that they will have to keep their resource offering high to lure people off SmokyHosts free hosting packages, which they are most welcome to do so, as i dont plan (alteast in the near future) to upgrade the shared hosting packages much.

Now coming to the competition amongst the resellers themself...
That is something they will have to mutually formulate, otherwise due to competition always there are chances of price war, and finally whatever may happen to the business, but the end customer is always benifited ;)
