nVidia vs Radeon
-
This computer has a radeon x800xt platinum GFX card; the first card developed with high dynamic lighting support.
Playing through half life 2 lost coast, a game designed to test high dynamic lighting and refraction, the ATI control center warned me that the GFX card was overheating; and therefore underclocked it massively.
My solution was to get Riva Tuner, and set the fan to 200 or so percent. Riva Tuner works fine; the fan is speeding up, but the overheating problem still remains when running games.
Next, I took the side off my computer, and put 2 spare fans right next to the graphic card.
The overheating still happens.
Help?
