How did you learn graphics?

Post by znad »

Where did you get your graphic design skills from?
Natural talent or hard work?
College or self taught?

Self taught.

**** random buttons to see what they did, combining stuff to make it look nice!

Self taught. I started with Corel Draw back in 1998, and had no idea what I was doing. All I know is that I wanted to make a cool home page, and I experimented and played around with all of the features of that program. It took a few months before I was comfortable to know what feature did what, and there weren't very many tutorial sites out there like there are today.
Now there are many shortcuts and tutorials out there that should make it easier for beginners. Don't allow the software to frustrate you, just experiement and you will get better with time.

Lots and lots of tutorials. Lots.

If you were to print out the stacks of the tutorails I read, then you'd probably have to pay the same price as Photoshop in ink and paper!
