I like WinAmp, but I agree the GUI could be a lot more user-friendly.
And I always keep an updated version of Windows Media Player on hand to handle things WinAmp can't or won't play.

Most online files are wmv format, and open up mini media players. It's easer to just stick with one player, no mix up's that way.
