felt rather privileged to get an advance copy of Hot Fuss from the label, as this band is going to absolutely blow up. I get to enjoy them before they are huge. The Killers employ the same formula as recent bands like The Stills and Hot Hot Heat, in seamlessly blending New Romantic-era New Wave with Modern Indie. Where Hot Hot Heat aped XTC and The Stills/Interpol wore their love of Joy Division on their sleeves....The Killers profess their love for Duran Duran and The Cure. Their songs are hooky with unforgettable quirky lyrics that will be stuck in your head for a long while. Somebody Told Me and Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine are future classics
