No illegal copies of licensed scripts are allowed on the smokyhosts.com server, coz now or later when the server is checked for all such content, all such unlicensed stuff will be deleted from your webspace without any prior notification.

However, if you think your friend had purchased a licensed version of the script (he purchased the license, but didnt give you the license), then the script can be used, as even though not licensed to you, but it is a licensed version, and IPB will take care of the fact that it can be installed on one instance.

Personally i dont know because i have never installed IPB myself. But usually if it is a licensed version, then it will ask you for the license at the time of installation, or at the time of configuring it.

it is asking for license for configuring the forum from the admin cpanel. So i think it is legal. SO I need your nod admin to proceed the installation.

No, now you need to contact your that friend who gave you this copy of IPB for the license key which he'd have recieved.
