any linux distribution does the same stuff than xp... only problem is compatibility

i dont understand, is supposed to help open source software...
but they are writing an OS to run mostly private software...

if this OS get known private software will keep growing (adobe, autodeks, .net language, softimage, almost every game, all the microsoft software...) and it wont help the development of compatibilities between that kind of software and linux.

Only the beta version of Windows Vista is free, this is a limited time offer, and it will expire in June 2007, at which point your Vista installation locks and the partition in question must be reformatted before you can boot from it.
