I already have mine but never bothered to actually use it. Don't GMail members automatically get Google Pages?

Unfortunately not, at least not for me anyway. It doesn't surprise me though the Google is joining the free hosting field. Seems like an obvious progression from email.

Google pages seem to be very basic, and a good concept for those who don't know html. Too simple for my tastes, I wonder if there are Googleads. I guess I would have to make a page to find out
