I voted for .com only because it is the most common name. You say it's a personal site, so do you mean only family and friends will be looking at it? If so look at a .info, they are short and only $2.49 (USD) offered right here and smokyhosts! I would check that out first. Good luck.

I really like the .net for some reason but closely second would be .com followed by .org
