Multiple Monitors (Graphics Card)

Post by gikian »

I will be upgrading my PC soon, I wanted to know are there any motherboards that support multiple monitors (I want to connect two monitors(extended desktop)). If not can anyone tell me about any good graphics card. My requirements are :

1.Two monitor outputs (1 for watching movies, videos on bigger monitor and 1 for browsing internet and other stuff on smaller monitor)
2.TV output (to watch movies on TV)
3.Should be able to play High Definition (HD[ 1080i ]) videos
4. I do not play games so do not need any high end graphics card, any card that meets above requirements should do.

If you could recommend any PCI card that would be best.

You don't need a motherboard that supports it, you need one of two things:
  • A video card with 2 slots for monitors on the back
  • 2 video cards, each with one monitor attached
As for which card, I would advise nVidia or ATI Radeon chipsets, even the entry-level are good for videos :D
