How keywords increase traffic **** to your site.

Post by BettyCerto »

People are driven to your site through search engines by the keywords you use in your website.
So you need to carefully choose the keywords so that visitors are directed to your site without any difficulty. If you find the right phrases and keywords, the traffic flow to your site will increase greatly.
*
While choosing keywords take care that they are not too common and overused. This decreases the chances of visitors being directed to your website. Keywords are the foundation to your marketing strategy and hence should be chosen with great precision. Else, prospective clients may never be able to reach you to purchase your products and services. So always take care while evaluating and gathering keywords. Always think from the customers’ angle to get the most efficient keywords. If you were the customer, which keyword would you use to search for your products?
*
The best way to do this is to ask potential customers for keywords that they generally use to search for you. You may be astonished to find out that your understanding of your business and your customers' understanding is significantly different. The keywords you get from them would never have occurred in your mind unless you started thinking out of the nest.
*
Once you have got a significant number of keywords, the next step is to evaluate how many of them would be really effective in increasing the traffic to the site. The keywords should bring visitors who have an interest in your products and web design services . They should be popular, specific and should motivate them to visit your site.

Where is the best place to put the keywords to yours site? Do they only belong in <meta> tags?
I definitely need to learn some more about search engine optimization as I'm trying to open up an eCommerce website.

I've been reading this tutorial, and it's helped me out quite a bit so far, but it's still tough getting it all down.
