Kobo Glo

My husband recently bought me a Kobo Glo as I mentioned my mobile and ipad were both full of books and I was running out of space. I didn't know if I'd get on with it, but now I can't live without it! I'm glad he got me the one with the backlight because I can read in bed without him complaining abo...

Re: Facebook acquires Whatsapp

I think it's good that a company like Facebook deems these other companies as worth $19B, but the fact that they feel the need to buy them shows Facebook's insecurities with having any kind of competition to their own services. It's like the big companies don't believe in their own development teams...

Is there one song that takes you back?

I have several songs that affect me. One is "If Tomorrow Never Comes" by Ronan Keating - we played it at my Mum's funeral and if I hear it without warning, say for example if it comes on the radio out of the blue, I usually end up in tears. Another is "Summertime" by Jazzy Jeff a...

Closed Circuit

I have been waiting for this film to come out for a while now as either I missed the cinema release or it didn't seem to come to any of the theatres near me. Got an email from itunes last night to let me know it was available to watch (at just after midnight!) but I didn't think that was such a good...

Re: Reading... Real books or ereaders

I like the variety of ebooks I can get on my ipad, but I'm filling it up too quickly with my TBR list.
Then again I have shelves of actual books waiting to be read too!

I tend to try a book as an ebook, and then end up buying it too in paperback as I want the physical book for my collection!

Re: Intel Vs AMD

I've had both in the past, but currently have an Intel i5 which is more than capable of handling everything I use it for.

Reading... Real books or ereaders

Having spent the whole day on Monday sorting out my books and building new bookcases to hold them it made me wonder if other people still enjoy actually reading a book as opposed to reading on an ereader. I have hundreds of books, aswell as loads of ebooks on by phone and iPad, and can see the appea...

I prefer google. It seems to give me the answers that are most relevant to my search.

Flappy birds

Did anyone get caught up in the craze of Flappy Birds before the game was withdrawn from the market?
I refused to download it, having already got enough addictive games on my iPad and phone, but now it's no longer available I wish I'd tried it! Lol
